Here, we propose versatile ionic conductors for high-performance, deformable and functional ionic sensory platforms by tailoring polymer gelators. First, the improvement of sensitivity and detectable ranges of sensory platforms is achieved by porous ion gels which can lead to a dramatic difference in electrical double layer (EDL) capacitance even with small pressure. Second, the deformability of the ionic sensory platform is tailored by binary polymer blends, which can effectively dissipate the applied stresses by doped low glass-transition temperature polymer. Finally, to fabricate thermo-mechano-multimodal sensory platforms, that can independently detect changes in thermal and mechanical stimuli without crosstalk by adjusting a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) domain in polymer gelators. As a result, we can customize the functionality of ion gel depending on the application range by tuning the polymer gelators. |
